I am writing today on behalf of the outreach team for PBS FRONTLINE. We have been working on engaging folks with our upcoming documentary “Inside Italy’s COVID War” by providing outreach opportunities beyond it’s national broadcast. The documentary premieres next week and follows veteran correspondent and Italian filmmaker Sasha Achilli as she returns to Italy to cover the outbreak.
We are planning to convene a virtual discussion between the filmmaker and the Italian ER doctor featured in the documentary next Thursday, May 21 at 1pm ET. Given your organization’s mission, we’d like to invite your community to view the film and join the virtual event. The film is both haunting and hopeful, a story I believe will stir up emotions for all Americans, especially those with ties to Italy.
